On June 6th the MultiMag project will participate along with other research initiatives funded by the European Commission under Horizon Europe framework programme in an engaging discussion addressing the Efficient, Lightweight, Sustainable Advanced Materials challenges in a workshop organized and hosted by the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium. 

MultiMag‘s project coordinator, Passi Puukko (VTT) together with representatives of similar projects (MIMOSA, MADE-3D, MULTHEM projects ) will discuss Lightweight dissimilar material components and structures through additive manufacturing.

The development and adoption of innovative, efficient, lightweight, and sustainable advanced materials /processes are crucial for the EU industry to achieve significant reductions in carbon footprint and advance towards a circular economy, thereby contributing to substantial CO2 emissions reductions and a net-zero future.

What does the workshop aim for?

  • inform industry stakeholders on the latest research actions and results in the field;
  • facilitate a dialogue between the research community and industry to discern industry needs and future strategies; 
  • align research & innovation priorities with forthcoming investments in the EU.
